Jus wonderin' if we could tape some garlic on the upper part of our arms.  It drives everything else away, guess it might work on misquotos.  REB

I read somewhere that one of those fabric softener sheets keeps the skeeters off you.  We don't have many where I'm at so I can't speak from experience.  You're supposed ot put the sheet in your belt.  Not sure if you're supposed to use an unused sheet or one that has been thru the druer.

Somebody should try this and report back because if it works it would be a good thing...

Maybe you could use one of those clip-on fans I see advertised that surrounds you with a cloud of repellent to keep the skeeters off. It doesn't look like that would affect the finish on your reso. registered

Misread  the topic header  and thought folks on this board were tryin' to get rid of 'ole LC37 by using "lug" spray.

We use an electronic bug zaper  to clear out our outdoor jammin' areas.  Diffferent bugs give off different zap sounds to the tune of GCD.  If you still want to use "lug spray" or uh, "bug spray", get a medium long ribbed white cotton tennis sock, cut off the foot and slip it over your pickin' forearm and you're in business.  Spray everything else that doesn't touch your instrument.

Ain't no bugs gonna' bother that arm, ain't no sweat gonna' harm that dobro finish.

'Course, you can always wear a long sleeve shirt with a rubbber band over the cuff.
